April 2024 Celebrating the total eclipse of the sun in Montreal on April 8, 2024.

1 – 8 1st and 2nd couples, 3rd and 4th couples change places with the Tourbillon 1st and 3rd couples remain facing out

9 – 16 1st couple casts off around 4th couple as 3rd couple casts off around 5th couple (2) 1st and 3rd couples meet their partner and dance up (2) to turn 2nd and 4th couples with the easy hand (2) All 5 couples join hands on the side and set (2)

17 – 24 1st and 3rd couples advance for one, retire for one with their first corner; repeat with second corner (4) All 5 couples turn their partner 2 hands once round (4)

25 – 32 1st couple with 4th couple, 3rd couple with 5th couple change places with the Maurice Progression: 1-4 1st man and 4th woman dance back to back WHILE 1st woman and 4th man cast one place clockwise and advance with their partner as their partner retires 5-8 1st and 4th couples change places with a ½ poussette (3rd and 5th couples dance likewise). Repeat from new positions – can be done in a 3 couple set (or 7)
